TRUEGRID 400 WINDOWS INITIAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

The first thing to know about TrueGrid 400 is that it requires a new version of
the TrueGrid License Manager called TGLM. This program will be provided for you
in the file you need to down load from the TrueGrid web site. This also means
that you will need a new authorization code and check. You need to be logged
into the License Server computer running tglm.exe as a service.

Start the TrueGrid Registration Program. The Registration program can be found
by going to "All Programs" or "All Apps" and scrolling down to XYZ Scientific.
Run "As Administrator" using the right mouse button when you click. In the upper
left corner are two buttons. Click on the "Stop" button. The button should change
to "Start". If it says "Start", it means that TGLM is no longer running. Now click on
the button that says "Remove Service". This button should change to "Install
Service". If it says "Install Service", then TGLM is no longer installed as a service.
 
If you have a perpetual license of TrueGrid, you have an option to preserve the
TrueGrid environment of the old version of TrueGrid or to simply overwrite the
new version over the old. This option is not available if you have a timed or
annual license. To preserve the old version of the environment for the old
version of TrueGrid, change the name of the TrueGrid folder to something
memorable, such as TrueGrid313. In the future, if you want to run this older
version of TrueGrid, contact XYZ Scientific and we will step you through the
3 steps to recover the use of your older version of TrueGrid.

If you have a timed license or if you do not want to preserve the environment
for the old version of TrueGrid, run the TrueGrid Uninstall program. This
program can be found in the program group XYZ Scientific Applications 
and is located at  "All Programs" or "All Apps". You probably need to run
"As Administrator" using the right mouse button when you click.

You are now ready to follow regular procedures to Install and Register TrueGrid
as a new installation. There are both quick and detailed instructions which you
can download from the TrueGrid download page. There are also 2 short videos to
step you through the procedures.

software blocks new software using ports for communications between programs
